5:00 PM - 8:00 PM - Meet & Greet and registration. Please bring a covered dish with enough for 6 people, or something you wish to cook on the egg. There will be 6 large eggs set up at the Meet & Greet along with charcoal and lighters for your use, plus several experienced cooks to assist you if needed.
Note: Beer and wine will be available for purchase this year at the eggfest, however please feel free to bring your own drink of choice to the Meet & Greet and/or to the Eggfest on Saturday.
7:00-8:00 AM - Cooks sign in and setup
9:00 AM - Tasters sign in
9:00 AM - Let the Eggfest begin! The Georgia Mountain Eggfest begins with the traditional "Lighting of the Eggs". Food will be available all day. Just wander from egg to egg to sample foods and discuss recipes and techniques with the cooks. After the conclusion of the Eggfest, recipes from the cooks will be posted here for free download.
3:00 PM - Eggs are to be shut down to allow for sufficient cooling time.
3:30 PM - Drawing for prizes.
5:00 PM - Deadline for picking up demo eggs.
11:00 AM - Big Green Egg Demonstration by J. Barrett Carter, Atlanta, GA
12:00 PM - Pizza, pizza, pizza by Ginny and Kim Youngblood, Lawrenceville, GA
1:00 PM - Going Dutch (Dutch oven cooking on the Big Green Egg) by Pete Benac, Kittrell, NC
